Sperm Separation Devices
Sperm separation devices are laboratory tools used to isolate the healthiest, most motile (actively swimming), and morphologically normal sperm from a semen sample. They are commonly used in fertility treatments such as Intrauterine insemination, In vitro fertilization (IVF), and Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
Why sperm separation is performed
The goal is to:
Select sperm with good motility and normal shape.
Remove dead or immotile sperm.
Eliminate debris, white blood cells, and seminal plasma.
Reduce bacteria and other contaminants.
